During the working consultation held at the Yerevan City Hall, which was moderated by Mayor Taron Margaryan, the Head of the Department for Development and Investment Programs reported that the investment portfolio of the municipality is being developed by the interested structures and potential investors. It was also reported that the elevators for installing solar panels on the roofs of 90 multi-apartment buildings within the framework of the Yerevan-Solar community project implemented by the EU funded by the “Covenant of Mayors” initiative, as well as elevators, including ports, including the yard areas LED lighting illumination pilot program implementation schedule. Giving importance to the implementation of this program, Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that it can be continued throughout the city, due to its effectiveness, for which appropriate allocations will be made from the community budget. During the consultation it was reported that control in the capital is being continued by physical and legal persons regarding the mandatory improvement, trade and service requirements adopted by the Yerevan Council of Elders. During the previous month 8 protocols were drawn up.
Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to continue strict supervision and once again inform the businessmen of their obligations. The mayor instructed the chief designer, the environmental department and the heads of the administrative districts to propose a unique and presentable flower arrangement in the city in 2018, ahead of the jubilee year. Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan also reported that the New Year celebration of the capital continues. The program “New Year in Yerevan 2018” is also ready. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to present the details of the program to the public.
As one of the priorities of the field development, the cooperation with the sector’s businessmen is particular importance. Being the first and only solar energy manufecturer in Armenia, however, Solaron highly estimates the ever-increasing interest and confidence in the industry in Armenia and expects the Yerevan Municipality to offer concrete cooperation for the development of the solar energy industry.
