Altec Metalltechnik has developed a mounting system which it says can be used with all forms of roofing, regardless of the module size.
Altec Metalltechnik, the German mounting systems provider, has developed a mounting system for rooftop PV installations that it says can be adapted to different mounting angles, making it suitable for any type of rooftop installation
According to the manufacturer, once the desired angle has been selected and the horizontal or vertical orientation of the module has been established the device can be combined with all rooftop types, irrespective of the type of photovoltaic panel.
“For other mounting systems, there is always just one special clamp for each rail and that’s not very practical,” said Markus Stehle, managing director of the group. “With our system, no matter which photovoltaic modules you would like to install.”
Customers have a free choice, according to Stehle, whether to opt for a full solution, including screw sets and cross-connectors or to order the individual parts.
Where a continuous base rail is not required, the complete set of elevation angles may be used. They require a 10 to 30-degree inclination in the orientations of both the portrait and landscape modules.
Particular situations can often require a tailored approach at a particular installation site, the manufacturer said.
