Fitch Solutions Macro Research,  involved in the Fitch Group, predicts the solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 17 GW in 2018-2020, i.e. in three years, the PV-magazine reports. According to the forecast, the new capacity represents projects should be completed by the end of the Green Tariffs Program, which is scheduled for December 2020. In case of their successful implementation, the Japanese photovoltaic solar power will reach 65.6 GW by 2020. Thus, the development of this energy branch in Japan is carried out faster than it was before. Previously, Japan intended to develop solar power to 64 GW by 2030.
